After squeezing the sponge from my pond filter and collecting the juice, I let it sit undisturbed until the oxygen-rich muck settled to the bottom of the jar. I picked up an eye dropper full of the sediment and let the dropper sit upright for about 30 minutes. The Stentor settled to the bottom looking to attach themselves to a solid pond bottom. One drop of this sediment yielded more Stentor than I could count. Here's a "gaggle" of them from just one small area of a drop of the soup.
